E3 First Day - Wednesday

Well, here I am at E3. Currently sitting in the newsroom awaiting to enter the floor. I'm here currently with the stratics.com news team. Unfortunately I don't have the early media access pass that the others do so I must wait another hour before I can enter the floor.

A lot of exciting news has come to be so far. The Nintendo Wii is promising 27 playable titles for their news system on the floor. Sony is promising playable titles on the floor as well. Microsoft announced with a trailer Halo 3.

Final Fantasy 13 had a trailer revealed for the PS3 and World of Warcraft announced their new alliance race.

Today I have a meeting with the company making the game called "The Witcher" which sounds pretty interesting and looks beautiful. I'm quite interested in how that works out.

Last night I went to a party in Beverly Hills for a company called Runestone which is putting out a MMORPG called Seed. They spoiled us with an open bar and food. It was mostly a PR event but the Rum and Cokes I took much advantage of!

I have about another hour before I can enter the floor, hopefully tonight I'll have some pictures to post if my camera decides not to act up.

New WoW Alliance Race Revealed at E3

The new alliance race is the Draenei, confirmed from the floor at E3.

California

Well, I flew into Los Angeles yesterday morning... flight was pretty nice.

I went to rent my car and ran into a problem. Evidently they hold your funds hostage for about $600 until you return the car... well, I didn't have the funs to afford that. Pissed me off BIG TIME since they had told me the week before that they didn't do that. The lady just looked at me and told me they must have lied then.

So I had to taxi it... which isn't cheap. In 2 days I've spent about $200 in taxi rides.

So I got to my hotel and couldn't check in for another 6 hours (yuck) so I went off to the California Renaissance Faire... which wasn't all that fun. It cost $8 to get into the parking lot and $25 for a ticket. Insane.

I did take some pictures though Pictures!

Got exhausted from the heat (and the crazy crowds) got back to the hotel and passed out practically. I worked a lot today going over my new project and tonight I went to Dave and Buster's which is a couple blocks from my hotel. For those of you who don't know what Dave and Buster's is it's a bar and grill with arcade games... and it's HUGE. Think of what an adult Chuck E. Cheese would look like and you have Dave and Buster's. Also the waitress at the restaurant was hitting on me (she left her phone # on my bill).

Tomorrow I head to downtown LA and get registered for E3. I'm really looking forward to seeing all my E3 buddies from last year. Tomorrow night I have a party in Beverly Hills to go to.

For updates on my E3 trip make sure to check out my site normalguy.net
